A Thousand Images For The Future

What do you think our legacy as humanity will be?

An immersive and interactive installation is presented that will use artificial intelligence to translate the audience's responses to that question into images.

The installation will consist of a circular scaffolding tower, 3 meters in diameter and height, with an opening for public entry. The interior will be covered with high-definition screens, projecting AI-generated images to create an immersive and evocative experience. At its center, a lectern with an iPad will pose a question to the visitor, inviting them to write their response, which will then be translated into an image in real time. This interaction between viewers and the technology will create a dialogue, reflecting diverse perspectives and thoughts on the screens. (The AI will not accept offensive, sexual, or inappropriate comments.)

This project seeks to create a space for individual reflection and foster collective dialogue about the future of our species and the impact of our actions on the world. It also aims to introduce a broad audience to developments in AI. It stems from a reflection on the concept of the Anthropocene, the geological epoch defined by human impact on Earth, and explores precisely what our legacy as a species will be in the future. The work is conceived as an artistic investigation that will document the concerns, interests, and perceptions of contemporary society, whose current actions will define the course of humanity in the coming decades.

The work offers an immersive experience that invites viewers to actively participate in building a collective legacy. While the question it poses raises concerns about our future, it inevitably prompts reflection on our present.
